How do I make a career change later in life?
How do I transition from a corporate job to an entrepreneurial one – and make the most of it?
How do I manage my career when I don’t have a clear path ahead of me?

Listen in for new coaching sessions, new career challenges, and new leadership lessons.

MURIEL WILKINS: Coaching Real Leaders is back this fall. Join me as I coach leaders from around the globe as they tackle some of the toughest professional problems they’re facing at work today. You’ll listen in on real coaching sessions, addressing issues like: How do I make a career change later in life?

SPEAKER 2: I did it before, so I want to do it again. That combination of an excellent professional record that is aligned with what is required in this position’s relationship-building, cultural, and international competencies, a knowledge of the organizational DNA that I have there. And that is definitely a competitive edge.

MURIEL WILKINS: How do I transition from a corporate job to an entrepreneurial one and make the most of it?

SPEAKER 3: There’s a mindset shift that needs to happen, and maybe this just naturally happens over time. The more you are out of corporate environment and you are in a consultant role, you become less focused on the, “I’ve got to prove myself.” But truth be told, I think I was like that in the corporate environment, as well. Every year was a chance to be promoted. Every year was a chance to smash another goal.

MURIEL WILKINS: And how do I better advocate for myself when I don’t have a clear career path ahead of me?

SPEAKER 4: I think the conversation which I have not had is: To get to that executive level, which I’ve aiming for, what do I need to do? What are the stepping stones to get there? If I continue to deliver in my current role, will that lead me there one day? Or if not, then maybe have some sort of a session… What could be the other things I could be doing to position myself to get there?

MURIEL WILKINS: I’m excited to share these leaders’ journeys with you when Coaching Real Leaders returns with season four this October. Subscribe now, wherever you get your podcasts.
